Instagram just rolled out a new way for brands to track social media success and brand analytics. With brand profiles on Instagram, your brand can now take advantage of all sorts of super relevant profile performance information including impressions, top performing post, and when your followers are most active.
You will now be able to sort posts by type: video vs. photo. From there you can review everything from reach to engagements and likes to video views. Data can be spliced many different ways.
What is the catch and the tie with Facebook? You have to have a Facebook Business Page connected. Yes, Facebook will always have the last laugh -- don't act surprised! So, for all of the brands out there who are killing it on IG but want the insight native to the platform without signing up for some random third party tool...you have to take the plunge and get a Facebook brand page.
